h/t to Tim Gallagher for pointing to this (in a tweet) -- Tim also nostalgically recalled the same 10-year anniversary moments on his blog recently:

Is this movie available for purchase? Amazon has this title...listed as 2005...for sale. But it seems second-hand or something as it states it is manufactured when ordered...from a DVR

I've seen different dates listed for the movie, and I simply took the date from the IMDb site which I generally consider official. I assume it can be purchased or downloaded from somewhere, but perhaps someone else can fill that in?

My recollection (and anyone feel free to correct or update it) is that the film was never truly completed, as intended -- Butler's was the sole documentary that had the sanctioning or cooperation of Cornell and was obviously intended to reach a certain conclusion... that conclusion was never achieved. The film was shown in a preliminary state at several film festivals, but never sent into general release. I assume the film was "wrapped up" so-to-speak at some point, since it was only the first of a 3-part trilogy Butler was working on focused on endangered species.
If anyone can fill in more please do.

Well...the dvd from Amazon is just a segment from CBS's "60 Minutes" news show. Yes from 2005. And apparently before any of the blowback from the skeptical side of the IBWO debate had gathered momentum. There is absolutely nothing new in it. Seeing Ed Bradley narrate the piece was the only interesting thing here. I looked it up...he has been gone now for over 7 years.
