-- 'Ghost Bird' Panel Update --

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Birdchick" blogs briefly about the "Ghost Bird" discussion panel in San Diego this weekend here. The most interesting note to me is that Jerry Jackson apparently joined the panel as a last minute addition. Cornell, BTW, chose not to participate (in the film). Birdchick says she'll have more to tell later about the discussion.

Her commentary should be interesting, but there's a very unfortunate statement in her current post. I responded in the comments as follows:

"I don't think any reasonable person has argued that the Arkansas sightings were hoaxes, and it's extremely unfair to do so. Your post (perhaps inadvertently) casts aspersions on multiple people who are, at worst, mistaken."

Ill-chosen words, to say the least.

I enjoyed reading Birdchick's description and the comments at her blog that followed. The third comment included a link to John Trapp's description of a preview of "The Lord God Bird." The contrast between the two films is interesting indeed.
